Maundy Thursday and Tenebrae Service

This year, we will observe Maundy Thursday with the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, followed by a Tenebrae service.  In this service, we will focus on everything that happened to Christ from the Last Supper through the Crucifixion.  Tenebrae, known as the service of shadows, involves a series of scripture readings, after which candles are extinguished one by one, until the Sanctuary is in total darkness. The darkness we’ll experience is the darkness of his betrayal – and our betrayal of him as well. All will exit the service in silence. The service begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13 in the sanctuary. Dress is casual.  Please join us as we continue to reflect on the important events of Holy Week.
