Choir rehearsal is now on the regular schedule of practice on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.

Joyful Ringers, our hand bell choir, has an opening—we need one or two folks to join us. Even minimal music reading experience would be great, but if you have a good sense of rhythm and a willingness to learn, we can teach you what you need to know. We rehearse on Sunday mornings from 9-10. Contact Roger Ashcraft.

Labor Day Sunday is our annual hymn-fest. We will be singing your favorite hymns as turned in last week. The first verse of each song will be sung.  The words will be on power point.

Contribution statements are in the hospitality area.  Please pick yours up so you can compare with your pledge.

The church office will be closed September 6 for Labor Day.

Letters to Laura—The Presbyterian Women invite you to write a letter or card to Laura Amlin, who will be serving with Young Adult Volunteers in Guatemala for a year.  A box will be placed in the hospitality area.  (When we have an address for her, it will be available for your use.) Please address and place your return address; then PW will stamp and mail these periodically so Laura will consistently receive something from home.

Habitat could use your help Saturdays with the house being built in Leonard. They are about ready to paint the outside. Barbara Wilson arranges the Saturday work day meals, so please let her know if you will be working.
September 12 will the Pounding for Fannin County Ministries. Vicky Hutchings, of Fannin County Community Ministries, will be at both services to present Minute for Mission about their organization. A collection of non-perishable food items (canned meat, peanut butter, soups, etc.)  or donations of money will be collected for the FCCM on that Sunday.  They are able to purchase food for 14 – 28 cents per pound with our donations, which makes our donations go further.

Folks 55 or above are invited to a Senior Adult Retreat at Camp Gilmont on Sep 23-25.  More information is on the board.
