Women's Group: Presbyterian Women

The women of First Presbyterian Church Bonham meet regularly on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  in the homes of members for Bible Study, business meeting and fellowship.  

In addition to the Bible study, the women of the church ensure that wedding and baby showers are given, and that food is provided to members during times of illness or death in the family. The Presbyterian Women are also mission minded. The 2009 budget includes $150 to Goodland Boys Home, $150 to Itasca Children's Home and $250 to the SNAP Center here in Bonham.

We have a Thursday Meals of Wheels route. Every woman in FPC, regardless of age, is warmly invited to participate in the Presbyterian Women's group.

PW SPOTLIGHT

 March meeting of the Presbyterian Women will be at Dana Nix’s Lodge with Carol Miller as co-hostess.  Cindy Godbey will lead lesson two titled “A Leader Is Called.”  Meet on the church parking lot at 6:40 to carpool to Dana’s lodge.  Study books are available at the church for $6.50. 

Other news:

  • If you would like to deliver Meals on Wheels for the Women’s Thursday route, contact Alice Mussett at 903-583-4986.  We have openings for March 18 and March 25.  
  • Honorary Life Membership.  Nominations are being accepted for a woman of our church who has provided faithful service in some area of the church’s work.  The officers will accept nominations from now through our April meeting.  The announcement and award of an Honorary Life Membership pin will be made at the July luncheon.
