The Session of the First Presbyterian Church, Bonham, Texas, is comprised of 12 ruling elders, and a youth elder. Four elders are elected each year and serve a three-year term. The youth elder serves for one year. As the ruling body of the church elected by the congregation, the Session selects a Clerk of Session and Treasurer of the church.
A significant amount of the work of the Session is accomplished through the sub-committees of the Session. Session members choose the committee on which they would like to serve based on their areas of interest and expertise.
