Our Place

Our Place 2017-04-03T22:50:32+00:00

Our church facilities are contained in three buildings, located on a 2-acre lot.

The main building houses the Sanctuary, church offices, the nursery and the Collins Hospitality Room. The newly renovated and historic Sanctuary faces Main Street.

The Common Ground Prayer Garden occupies the southeast corner of the property between the parking lot and E. Eighth Street. The primary features in the garden are a stone prayer wall, a labyrinth, and a white wooden gazebo.

The Williams Educational Building is used by the congregation for Sunday School classes, fellowship events, weekly music practice, monthly men’s and Presbyterian Women’s meetings, session meetings, etc. The Boy Scouts, as well as several community and civic groups also utilize the space during the week.

The Youth House is adjacent to the main building and is also used for AA meetings.

Facility Use

Our congregation has sponsored Boy Scout Troop 260 for many years, and recently become sponsors of Cub Scout Pack 54 as well.

We welcome many other organizations to use our facilities, including:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Al Anon
  • K5 Fannin Ham Radio Club
  • BonHAMS Toastmasters
  • Precinct 4 Polling Location
  • Kool Lunch Program

We feel that our facilities should be open and available to the community whenever possible.

Our Common Ground Prayer Garden has been the site for Community Band concerts, Domestic Violence candlelight vigils, National Day of Prayer observances, and even some private weddings. It is a favorite photo spot on prom night, too.
