
Congregational Care
Congregational Care is responsible to provide connection, comfort, cheer and relief to our congregation.
This includes:
- 
Each meeting should include Prayer, Worship, Study, Fellowship, Service (inside and outside the church), and Invitation. 
- 
Writing down and emailing out weekly Joys & Concerns. 
- 
Recording attendance is done through the church office. Attendance reports will be given to the committee at/before committee night to maintain congregational attendance. 
- 
Obtaining and maintaining visitor and member information. 
- 
Publishing an annual membership directory in November after requesting member’s updated information. -

Maintaining the Shepherding List. 
- 
Making 1st time visitor gifts with Contact Card, to be distributed by the pastor. 
- 
Providing care and encouragement to prospective members. 
- 
Making New Member Packets. 
- 
Maintaining the New Member wall display. 
- 
Helping new members become assimilated into the full life of the church. 
- 
Providing food at the passing of a member or family member. This involves coordinating with Presbyterian Women and the Hospitality Committee. 
- 
Visiting those who are sick, hospitalized, shut-ins or in nursing homes. 
- 
Sending cards of encouragement. 
- 
Providing support for members who are divorced or widowed. 
- 
Sponsoring and promoting opportunities to engage those outside the church. 
- 
Encouraging the congregation to invite others to worship and other church events. 
- 
Coordinating advertisements and publicity for all special events. This consists of getting information in article form to the church office in a timely manner (no less than 3 weeks prior to event) for Friday Emails, Monthly Newsletters, Weekly Bulletins, Website, Social Media, and Press Releases to North Texas e-News.

Checking your committee mailbox weekly. Plus fill out the Expense/Reimbursement Form for any bill or invoice associated with your committee and put it in the Treasurer’s mailbox.
